As some of you know (and for those who don’t!), before Sage + Taylor, my business was branded as 7Fold Curate. My husband started his own furniture design company years ago and branded with the name “7Foldesign”. Originally, I thought it would be great to have an umbrella of businesses, all with similar names. Cool, right? But as I started operating under 7Fold Curate, I just didn’t feel like I had any connection to the name I chose. I wasn’t passionate about it, which in turn made me not very inspired, not passionate about my website, any of my branding materials or the work I was performing. You know the saying, when you look good, you feel good? Translate that into business branding and that’s exactly how I felt! So I rebranded my business!
BEFORE REBRANDING
I wanted to share some “before” pictures of my website. And don’t get me wrong – it was a completely fine website! It functioned, it did its job and provided all the necessary information that someone looking to hire a digital marketer would need. It was easy to navigate, it was organized and modern. But it wasn’t warm. It wasn’t inviting. It didn’t invite in any potential clients like I wanted it to.
AFTER REBRANDING
Drumroll please! My new website was born! It’s modern and tasteful, it’s pleasing to the eye and it’s easy for potential clients to navigate and find the information they need. I started by choosing a color palette that I loved and a lot fell into place after that happened. That was my inspiration. And the good news? After I rebranded, I gained two new clients just from my website alone. So if you’re looking for a sign to rebrand your business, this is it. It takes time and patience, but there are so many amazing platforms to build a new website on. I can share that I build my new website on Showit. It’s mostly used for wedding photographers, but can be transformed into whatever your business needs it to be. That’s a topic for my next blog post, so keep an eye out for that!
